Registration deadline for 2013 Working Arts Workshop approaching
The registration deadline for the 2013 Working Arts Workshop is Jan. 18. The workshop will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 13-14, 2013 in Roxboro at the Person County Office Building.
This workshop has been designed for people who want to learn a new craft for fun or who want to create products to sell in their crafts business.
Attendees may choose from the following sessions: Wood Carving; Intermediate Knitting-Making Lace; Beading class with seed beads; Simple Braiding; Seat Weaving; Bob Ross Oil Painting; Stadium Basket; Octagon Basket.
One or two days may be required to complete the class, depending on the particular class. A non-refundable registration fee of $15 (which covers both days) will be charged in addition to the instructor fee for the workshop(s) selected. The registration form, $15 fee, and the instructor fee for one’s first choice class must be received by the Extension Center in the county of residence no later than Jan. 18. Instructions are located on the registration form.
The event site is handicapped-accessible. Inclement weather dates for the program have been set for Feb. 20-21.
