Dana Lynn Twisdale weds James Kimberly Aiken

Dana Lynn Twisdale and James Kimberly Aiken were united in marriage on Sept. 28, 2013, at 12 p.m. at Somerset Plantation in Henderson with Gary Brummitt officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dick and Linda Twisdale of Henderson. She is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Blanche Edwards and Elmus and Maude Twisdale. She is a graduate of Vance-Granville Community College and Campbell University and is currently a secretary for the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

The groom is the son of the late James and Elizabeth Aiken. He is the grandson of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Critcher and James and Ruth Aiken. He is a graduate of J.F. Webb High School and Vance-Granville Community College and is currently a trooper for the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

The bride was escorted by Brandon Pernell and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white strapless mermaid cut satin with alencon lace overlay gown. It was adorned with pearls and sequins cascading onto a semi-cathedral length train. Her headpiece was a veil with sequins, rhinestones and a satin trim. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and calla lilies.

The best men were Brett and Brian Aiken, the sons of the groom.

Kaycee Pernell, daughter of the bride, served as flower girl. Brandon Pernell, son of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the couple’s home hosted by family members.

The couple will reside at Somerset Plantation in Henderson.
