Henderson Institute Class of ‘63 holds 50th reunion

The Henderson Institute Class of 1963 recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with a reunion.

Forty classmates were in attendance.

A meet and greet was held at the Quality Inn with music and refreshments.

A brunch and evening banquet were held a Vance-Granville Community College.

A total of 300 Henderson Institute graduates and former students attended the banquet.

Leslie Baskerville was the keynote speaker. His speech had two major themes: a walk down memory lane and highlights of the Civil Rights Movement. The 50th anniversary of the March On Washington was recognized and celebrated as the major event of the movement.

Warren Bullock and Sunny Bullock were recognized for their services to the country during the Vietnam War.

The class concluded its festivities with a Sunday lunch at Ribeye’s.
