Moore receives Sam Perry Scholarship
The Granville Health System Foundation recently awarded the fourth annual Sam Perry Scholarship to Hannah Grey Moore of Oxford.
Moore recently graduated from J.F. Webb High School of Health and Life Sciences with a 4.28 GPA, putting her within the top 10 students in her graduating class. She is a member of the National Honor Society, served as president of the Interact Club and held a leadership role in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Leadership Planning Committee. She was a member of the Health Occupations Students of America and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Creedmoor. In addition, she worked part-time at the Oxford Parks and Recreation Department.
She is attending East Carolina University and intends to pursue a career in physical therapy. She is the daughter of Joyce Moore.
The Sam Perry Scholarship was established in memory of physician’s assistant Sam Perry. It is awarded each year to a Granville County resident who has been accepted into a two or four-year allied health program at an accredited school and who intends to pursue a career in the allied health care field.
Programs eligible for this scholarship include clinical laboratory sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiological science dentistry, physician assistant and nurse practitioner, among others.
