Kendall McLain Brinker and Cpl. Cameron Scott Driver, both of Henderson, were united in marriage in a ceremony officiated by Dr. Roy E. De Brand on June 15, 2013, at 4 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Henderson.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Richard Brinker of Henderson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Eugene Sayers of Bradford, Penn., and Mrs. Elizabeth Theresa Brinker of Henderson. She is a junior at North Carolina State University majoring in biological engineering.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Clay Driver of Henderson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claude McCreery of Henderson and Mr. Ervin Wilson of Indiana. Cpl. Driver is an intelligence specialist with the U.S. Marine Corps. He is currently stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.

The bride was escorted by her father and the couple was blessed by those in attendance. She wore a glamorous and ornate off-white lace and organza gown. The elongated bodice was fabricated with Spanish lace while the modified sweetheart neckline was accented by delicate feathers. The dropped waist skirt was made of organza ruffles and a sweep train finished the elegant look. Her headpiece was a fingertip veil embellished with the couples combined monogram. Her bouquet, created by the bride and her mother, was a silk arrangement of blush roses and peonies. The bouquet was accented with broaches that the bride collected from her grandmothers. She wore sapphire and diamond earrings, a gift from her parents.

The maid of honor was Logan Elizabeth Brinker of Henderson, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Megan Virginia Anderson, Rebecca Catherine Falkner, Julia Kathryn Sumner, all of Henderson; and Kellie Marie McDonald of Lumberton. Lily and Kaiden Hubard of Raleigh, cousins of the bride, acted as flower girl and ring bearer.

The best man was Cpl. Timothy Daniel Andres of Havelock. The groomsmen were Carson McKinley Driver, brother of the groom; Caleb Randall Garrett, Danny Wayne Ayscue Jr. and Lance Cpl. Thomas Blake Hilton, all of Henderson. Sgt. Patrick Corey, Sgt. Kyle Mitchell Hobleman, Cpl. Kyle David Matay and Cpl. Quinn Joseph Tobias offered the Arch of Swords Ceremony immediately following the wedding in front of the sanctuary building. After passing through the arch, the new Mrs. Driver was welcomed to the Marine Corps family.

A program of wedding music was presented by Mr. Mark L. Hopper, organist, and Mrs. Jennifer Hoerning Baxley, soloist. The wedding director was Mrs. Nancy Harris Bobbitt. Miss Perry McDaniel Wester served as register attendant and Miss Annie Jo Twisdale and Miss Charlotte Price Wester served as program attendants.

Following the ceremony, the reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Pool Rock Manor. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Michael Carroll, Mrs. Marsha Remington, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Deeter and Mr. Steven Brinker, aunts and uncles of the bride. Following a honeymoon to trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple will reside in Raleigh.
