Candice Winters marries Jonathan Wayne Edwards

Candice Winters and Jonathan Wayne Edwards of Castalia were married united in marriage Feb. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m., outside, on the beach, at Kill Devil Hills. The Rev. Tanya Young of Kitty Hawk officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Peggy W. Jones of Henderson and Roger Dale Winters (deceased). She is the granddaughter of Peggy Lassiter (deceased) and Alvin Lassiter of Henderson and Odell Winters (deceased) and Dot Winters, also of Henderson. She is the owner of Doodlebug’s Boutique of Henderson.

The groom is the son of Waylon and Debbie Edward of Kittrell. He is the grandson of Unice B. Pulley and Malcolm Pulley Jr. of Kittrell and Mr. and Mrs. Edwards (both deceased). He is employed as a service technician with CenturyLink.

The ceremony was a private affair with just the bride and groom, the reverend and two witnesses on the Outerbanks. The couple wrote their own vows.

After a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Castalia.
