Kristie Duncan weds Adam Corey
Kristie Jane Duncan and Adam Victor Corey of Greenville were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 3 at Faith Assembly of God with the Rev. Frank Sossamon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jane Smith Duncan and Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Duncan of Henderson. She is the granddaughter of Beatrice Ann Smith and Barbara Ann Duncan of Henderson and the late Add Smith and Carlton Vester Duncan. She is a 2009 graduate of East Carolina University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a concentration in marketing. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree and is employed with the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Joseph Pizzutilla and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Thomas Corey of Greenville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Vance Thomas Corey of Greenville. He is a 2010 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management. He works for Metallix Refining Inc.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her mother, Jane Smith Duncan. She wore an ivory, lace, fit and flare gown with cap sleeves and a sequined embellished sash. Her headpiece was an ivory veil trimmed in lace. She carried white and green hydrangeas with peach roses and green berries wrapped in burlap.
Kimberly Steed, a friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Casey Duncan, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Fathauer, Megan Franklin, Stephanie Pate and Katy Money, friends of the bride; and Leigh Pizzutilla, sister of the bride.
Vic Corey, father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Justin Bass and Connor Pizzutilla, brothers of the groom; and Will Preslar, Doug Edwards, Mark Macchioni and Robby Gault, friends of the groom. Jake Langley, friend of the groom, served as an usher.
Cassidy Batten, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid and flower girl. Jonathan Batten, cousin of the bride, was the junior groomsman and ring bearer.
Marsha Ranes, pianist, and Nicholas Tucker, soloist, rendered music.
The wedding was directed by Wanda Rueb. Suzanne Fisher served as register attendant and Carroll Davis served as program attendant.
The reception was hosted by the bride’s mother at The Martinsborough in Greenville. After a honeymoon trip to Bryson City, the couple will reside in Winterville.
A shower hosted by Connie M. Corey and Allen Eason was held March 8 in Greenville.
A bridal shower was hosted by Suzanne Fathauer, Meredith Fathauer, Judy Church and Kimberly Steed on April 12 in Henderson.
A bridal luncheon was held May 2 in Greenville, hosted by Connie M. Corey.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom on May 2.
