Newfound discipline demonstrated through testing

May. 11, 2013 @ 06:40 PM

On Friday, April 26, 46 students passed testing at the Midnight Blue Martial Arts Class on Garnett Street in Henderson. These achievements correlated in them receiving certificates and belt promotions.

Students passing evaluations ranged from Little Dragons to members of the adult class. Several of the karate students demonstrated board breaking, forms, kicks, punches, blocks and flame extinguishing techniques. Also, the Midnight Blue Cheerleaders performed an acrobatic routine.

Karate classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays while Jujitsu classes take place Mondays and Wednesdays. And new Karate and Jujitsu classes are forming weekly.

Cheerleading classes will start back up again in September.

Summer activities at the school will include: karate and cheerleading camp, basic tumbling and private cheerleading lessons. Call Kimberly Gupton at (252) 438-8896 for more information.
