TODAY

TRIAD Chapter — The TRIAD Chapter meets at 11 a.. at the Henderson Institute Historical Museum on Rock Spring Street; members interested in holding an office should notify the nominating committee at the meeting; elections will take place in June; upcoming reunion plans will be discussed; the meeting is open to Friends of the Museum.

Chicken Plates — The Educational Council of the Memorial Forest, Inc., will sell chicken dinner plates at the Hecks Grove Community Center beginning at 11 a.m.; plates are $7; the menu is chicken, string beans, potato salad, cake, sodas and water; proceeds will benefit the community center’s building fund.

Zumba Classes — The grand opening of ZG with Rosemarie is from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1366 N. Garnett St.; there will be free Zumba Gold demos, snacks and door prizes; open to the public; free admission.

Time Out Tuesday — Chick-fil-A will host Time Out Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise funds for Franklin-Granville-Vance Smart Start; Mike Rainey, Morris White, Archie Taylor, Jackie Sergeant, Tommy Hester, Royal Harris as Boho the Clown, Ruth Hartness and Eddie Ferguson will each be placed in time out for one hour during the event.
