Pinwheel Garden — Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity Inc., 180 S. Beckford Dr., will hold its fourth annual pinwheel garden celebration beginning at 10 a.m.

Gillburg Watch — The kickoff meeting of the Gillburg Community Watch begins at 7 p.m. at Gillburg United Methodist Church, 4815 S. N.C. 39.

Genealogical Society — The Granville County Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. at Thornton Library in Oxford; Sallyann Marable Hobson and Joey Dickerson will present a program on the Marable family and the Cedar Lawn Plantation; the meeting is open to the public.

Farmers Market — The Vance County Cooperative Extension is holding an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. for the new Vance County Regional Farmers Market, 210 Southpark Drive; refreshments will be served.

Warren Democrats — The Warren County Senior Democrats meet at 1 p.m. at the Warren County Senior Center; district attorney candidates Cindy P. Bostic and Michael D. Waters will attend; open to all democrats.

 

FRIDAY

Board of Education — The Granville County Board of Education meets at 6 p.m. at the Board of Education Administrative Offices, 101 Delacroix Street, Oxford.

 

SATURDAY

TRIAD Chapter — The TRIAD Chapter meets at 11 a.. at the Henderson Institute Historical Museum on Rock Spring Street; members interested in holding an office should notify the nominating committee at the meeting; elections will take place in June; upcoming reunion plans will be discussed; the meeting is open to Friends of the Museum.

 

TUESDAY

Time Out Tuesday — Chick-fil-A will host Time Out Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise funds for Franklin-Granville-Vance Smart Start; Mike Rainey, Morris White, Archie Taylor, Jackie Sergeant, Tommy Hester, Boho the Clown, Ruth Hartness and Eddie Ferguson will each be placed in time out for one hour during the event.

HCCA — The Henderson Community Concert Association will present a performance by the New York Theatre Ballet at 7 p.m. at Vance-Granville Community College; admission is by season ticket only.

Knitting club — The knitting club at Perry Memorial Library meets from 1-3 p.m. in the board room; knitting, crocheting and other crafts involving strings and yarn; free program, public welcome to work on their crafts or to come and learn.

Beekeepers Association — The Kerr-Tar Beekeepers Association meets at 7 p.m. at the Vance County Cooperative Extension Office, 305 Young Street, Henderson; the meeting is open to the public.
