Board of Adjustment — The Henderson Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 3:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

Kiwanis Club — The Henderson Kiwanis Club meets at 6:30 p.m. at Golden Corral Restaurant; Danny Wright will present a program on Triangle North development; open to members and guests.

VGCC — The Vance-Granville Community College’s annual cosmetology contest begins at 11 a.m. in the civic center on the Vance County campus; the competition is open to the public.

Gillburg Watch — The kickoff meeting of the Gillburg Community Watch begins at 7 p.m. at Gillburg United Methodist Church, 4815 S. N.C. 39.

Genealogical Society — The Granville County Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. at Thornton Library in Oxford; Sallyann Marable Hobson and Joey Dickerson will present a program on the Marable family and the Cedar Lawn Plantation; the meeting is open to the public.

Farmers Market — The Vance County Cooperative Extension is holding an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. for the new Vance County Regional Farmers Market, 210 Southpark Drive; refreshments will be served.

TRIAD Chapter — The TRIAD Chapter meets at 11 a.. at the Henderson Institute Historical Museum on Rock Spring Street; members interested in holding an office should notify the nominating committee at the meeting; elections will take place in June; upcoming reunion plans will be discussed; the meeting is open to Friends of the Museum.
