Northeast Piedmont Chorale — The Northeast Piedmont Choral will present a concert at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 222 Young St., Henderson; the concert will include psalms, spirituals and songs.



Board of Education — The Granville County Board of Education meets in regular session at 6 p.m. in the Board of Education Administrative Offices, 101 Delacroix St., Oxford.

Optimist Club — The Henderson Optimist Club is holding a trout dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. at 220 Seafood; tickets are $7, drinks included for those who eat in; all proceeds will be used to fund the club’s youth programs.

Warrenton Lions — The Warrenton Lions Club is holding a barbecue chicken dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Warrenton Lions Den; plates will include half of a chicken, boiled potatoes, string beans and bread; plates are $8 each, eat in or take out; proceeds will benefit the club’s Brighter Vision projects.
