Shrine Club — The Henderson Shrine Club meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Henderson Masonic Lodge No. 229, 401 Brodie Road; dinner will be served; meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.; event is open to members and visiting nobles.

Genealogical Society — The Granville County Genealogical Society No. 1746 meets at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room of Thornton Library in Oxford; Joanne Carpenter will present the program, “Wales: Land of our Fathers”; the presentation will chronicle her trip to Wales and her research in genealogy, history and mythology; all of the society’s meetings are open to the public.

American Legion — The American Legion Post No. 60 meets at 630 p.m. on the first Friday of the month in the Legion Hut; all members requested to attend.

Board of Health — The Granville-Vance District Board of Health meets at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Vance County Health Department, 115 Charles Rollins Road, Henderson.
