Charity Ride — The 17th annual motorcycle charity ride for Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center held by Brewer Cycles will be from 1:30 to 5 p.m.; sign up will begin at 10 a.m. at Brewer Cycles; the ride will be followed by a barbecue chicken dinner; tickets are $25; for more information or to purchase tickets in advance call (252) 492-8553.
Kiwanis Club — The Henderson Kiwanis Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the patio behind the student union on the Vance-Granville Community College main campus; there will be a catered meal and homemade ice cream; the meeting is open to members and their guests.
Shrine Club — The Henderson Shrine Club meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Henderson Masonic Lodge No. 229, 401 Brodie Road; dinner will be served; meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.; event is open to members and visiting nobles.
Weight loss group — TOWN ( Take Off Weight Now ), a nonprofit weight loss group, meets at 11:30 a.m. at Aycock Recreation Center.
American Legion — The American Legion Post No. 60 meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion Hut; all members requested to attend.
TRIAD — The TRIAD Chapter meets at 11 a.m. at the Henderson Institute Historical Museum on Rock Spring Street; officers will be nominated and installed; any member in good standing can be nominated for office at the meeting.
DAV — Chapter 97 of Disabled American Veterans, consisting of Vance, Granville, Warren and Franklin counties, meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at the Vance County Senior Center, 126 S. Garnett Street; all members are encouraged to attend.
Beekeepers Association — The Kerr-Tar Beekeepers Association meets at 7 p.m. at the Vance County Cooperative Extension Office, 305 Young Street, Henderson; the meeting is open to the public.
Masonic Lodge — Beacon Light Masonic Lodge No. 249 meets at 7 p.m. at 1204 West Andrews Ave. for regular communication on the second Monday of every month; members should wear Masonic dress; for more information, call (252) 915-9391.

Community Watch — The White Oak-Lakeview Community Watch group meets at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Flowers Funeral Home in Henderson; Tom Spain of the Kerr Lake Regional Water Treatment Plant will be the speaker.
Genealogical Society — The Vance County Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Williamsboro; the Rev. Don Lowery of The Church of the Holy Innocents will present a program on the history of the church; the meeting is open to the public.

Western Vance — Western Vance High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in front of the school.
Fish Fry — The North Carolina Youth Athletic Corporation fish fry is from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Innocents, 210 N. Chestnut St.; plates are $6.50 each.
Northern Vance — Northern Vance High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on the school football field.
Southern Vance — Southern Vance High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. in the school stadium.
Warren High — Warren County High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at Warren County Middle School.
Warren New Tech — Warren County New Tech High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Warren County High School Gym.
J.F. Webb — J.F. Webb High School’s graduation ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on the school athletic field.
