Knitting club — The knitting club at Perry Memorial Library meets from 1-3 p.m. in the board room; knitting, crocheting and other crafts involving strings and yarn; free program, public welcome to work on their crafts or to come and learn.

Genealogical Society — The Vance County Genealogical Society 1881 meets at 11:30 a.m. at Ribeye’s in Henderson; Hilma Smith will present a program on Sheriff William Henry Smith, the first sheriff in Vance County; the meeting is open to the public.
